President & CEO
Visionary and brand designer Arthur Gilmore has more than 30 years of experience managing design programs for leading brands around the world.
Arthur has always believed that in order to “bring brands to life,” it is crucial that a holistic strategy is in place to ensure that all of a brand’s touchpoints deliver on the brand’s promise.
So, 13 years ago he founded Gilmore Group, synthesizing the key disciplines of interior design, architecture, branding, and industrial design within a single agency.
His expertise and cross-industry experience in strategy development, design concept exploration, human factors, and engineering has helped bolster over 40 brands.
Arthur holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Carnegie-Mellon University and received executive training with Harvard Business School professors. He is often quoted in leading design and business journals and lectures on experiential branding.
As a founding partner of Gilmore Group, Greg boasts over 20 years of experience as a pioneering designer. His strategic approach to design has produced innovative and practical solutions to the wide range of design challenges presented to him by his clients.
He has managed major programs for Walgreens, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Bath & Body Works, and Comex. Greg is a co-founder and partner, but also heads the team of Gilmore Group’s sister media company, Gilmore Media. Greg’s Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design is from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati.
Louis is an expert in building global brand equity. His experience in retail, packaging, and transportation design is supported by his strong human factors and engineering background.
He is a co-founder and partner at Gilmore Group and is responsible for developing the processes, strategy, and infrastructure to nurture collaborative design and build meaningful value for Gilmore Group’s clients.
His work has been included in numerous patents, has been widely published, and has also been recognized with major awards in a variety of industries.
Originally from San Francisco, California, Roberto Carabeo is a Design Director at Gilmore Group specializing in architecture and construction.
Roberto completed his undergraduate studies in architecture from Princeton University and also holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters of Philosophy in Architectural History and Theory from the University of Cambridge. He is LEED AP accredited.
He has led numerous teams in the development of environmental design programs for Wells Fargo, Sovereign Bank, Comex, and Walgreens Health Services at Gilmore Group. Before working in architecture and construction Roberto worked for Rockwell testing valves for the Space Shuttle orbiters.
He continues his work in the field of design with the belief that there is always room for improvement, a way to make the world a better place.
Nick Barreda is a Motion Graphics Designer from Long Island, N.Y. working for Gilmore Media and former cheese monger. After receiving a B.S. Degree in Neurobiology from Stony Brook University, Nick was inspired to explain to people how beautiful the world really is, from micro to macro.
He believes that a lot can be explained through good design and became interested in the educational applications of rendering virtual environments after taking microbiology and anatomy classes.
Crystal Cozzens is from Queensbury, NY and is a Pratt Institute graduate with a BFA in Interior Design. Her previous work experience was with Judy Ross Textiles.
Working as an Interior Designer at Gilmore Group for more than 5 years, Crystal has a broad skillset which she applies through a proficiency in range of software programs. However, her knack for technicality and organization does not come at the expense of light-heartedness; Crystal is a true motivator in the office, always ready with a quirky quip and a helping hand.
Caleb is an Architect and Graphic Design Associate from Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Princeton with a B.A. in Architecture and has had prior work experience at Rosenberg Kolb Architects.
Caleb has had a lifelong interest in art, as well as a desire to combine his interests in graphic design and architecture in an interdisciplinary way.
Marketing & Business Development
Steven is a Marketing and New Business Associate at Gilmore Group from New York City. He graduated with a BA from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Ancient Studies and a minor in Communication Design. He also played on the Varsity Football team.
Steven is proficient in a variety of programs that aid his marketing abilities. He is familiar with coding languages such as HTML and CSS, as well as UI and UX design. He diverse background makes him the perfect fit for the multi-role collaborator he is.
Having an architect as a father introduced him to the world of architecture and design at a young age. Steven’s desire to be creative all his life has given him an understanding and appreciation for the world of design and build he now works in. He is never more satisfied than when seeing his co-workers’ ideas come to life.
Sofia Lee is an Interior Designer from New York with a BFA, Interior Design from FIT. She has had previous experience as a freelancer and at multiple architectural firms.
After 5 years at Gilmore Group, Sofia’s unrelenting drive is fueled by her desire to create beautiful things.
Senior Motion Designer
Kareem is a Motion Graphics Designer, Artist, and Producer working for the Gilmore Media team. Originally from Johnston, South Carolina, he acquired his MFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Before working at Gilmore, Kareem worked as a freelance designer at multiple agencies including Superfad, Decon Media, Psyop, and Lobo. Bringing design and illustration talent to the team, Kareem is inspired by the multitude of disciplines and media that can be used to communicate an idea.
Hailing from Bakersfield, California, Brandon is an Industrial Designer specializing in product and spatial design, rapid prototyping, product analysis and engineering, and 3D modelling. Starting from a young age, Brandon has been influenced by the world of design: by his father, a fine artist, and his sister, a fashion designer.
He received his Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design and boasts a portfolio of work for Johnson & Johnson, Bernhardt Design, L’Oreal, Nucraft, Envicase, Arkkit Forms, and Thresa Fatino Design.
Brandon aspires to create more beautiful pieces of design that harmonize with their environment and better serve people; he believes design is not just about physical aesthetic but also about emotional connection.
Motion Artist & Photographer
Phillip Yee is a Brooklyn-born Motion Designer and Photographer working for Gilmore Media. Before working as multi-media designer, Phil was a book store employee and part-time delivery-man for a slipper company.
His special eye and talent for production both in-studio and out was awoken in him as a child watching films with heavy use of special-FX and CG animated movies from Pixar.
Jeronimo Lobo does industrial, product, and interior design work for Gilmore Group out of Buenos Aires, Argentina where he and his family are from. He has a degree from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Jeronimo has had experience at a number of other Design and Branding companies in Latin America and the United States. He continues to do work with us from his Buenos Aires office adding international growth potential and a wealth of expertise to Gilmore Group.
Alex Romanos received his BS from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Prior to coming to New York, he has worked for multiple architecture and branding firms including: BHDP, Synthesis Architecture, Chico’s FAS, and IA in Chicago.
Alex brings further 3D Modelling expertise to the team. Additionally, Alex has an exemplary work-ethic and, as an Eagle Scout, brings a myriad of practical skills to the team.
His inquisitive nature, coupled with a fascination for interior spaces and how they relate to the human experience, has spurred on an ambition to one-day design inter-faith places of worship that foster understanding and compassion.
Sun Kim is a Seoul, South Korea native working now as a designer for the Gilmore Media team specializing in 2D design and animation.
Starting her education in design with the Kaywon School Of Art and Design, Moving Image Design in Seoul, South Korea, Sun has gone on to receive her BFA and MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Her prior experiences included working at a non-profit organization creating logos, promos, and background visuals for various award shows and musical performances of LGBT musicians.
It was seeing all the “crazy” music videos from her high-school band obsessions in the late 1990s that inspired Sun to move into the art of media production.
Middle East Relations
Olga Katrib works as Director of Middle East Operations at Gilmore Group. Originally from Lebanon, she received her education from Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts - Balamand University. Prior to Gilmore Group, Olga worked for out-of-home media specialists GMI in Abu Dhabi.
Her promotion of Gilmore Group in the United Arab Emirates has led to multiple DOOH and Place Branding projects. While recently becoming a new mother, Olga continues to further develop relationships in the U.A.E. and the Middle East.
Ericka Slingerland is from Bethlehem, NY and works as an interior designer for Gilmore Group. Before graduating from Cornell University with a BS in Design & Environmental analysis, Ericka already gravitated toward the field of design as it combines creativity with technical skills.
Ericka maintains a well-rounded skill set but particularly enjoys working in AutoCAD. She hopes that her work will make a positive impact on the way people experience the built environment around them.
Derek graduated with a First Class BA Honors degree in the UK in 1986. His career started with great success at the brand consultancy Wolf-Olins in London where he created the popular “Piper” identity for British Telecom. His initial experience covers influential brands such as British Airways, AIB Bank and IBM. He became Creative Director for Interband where he helped clients such as BMW, Canon, HP, Microsoft,
ACE Insurance, and MasterCard. He created the brand for Bancolombia and one of the largest banks in Mexico: Bancomer. After running Futurebrand’s office in Malaysia, he moved back to New York as design director of Imagination where he created brand experiences for Samsung, Sprint, Coca-Cola, and Ford. Then, working for Richard Branson’s Virgin, he helped launch Virgin America and Virgin Money. His experience in the financial sector is deep, working with Charles Schwab for many years, Phil Falcone’s Harbinger Capital Partners, Bank of the West and most recently Fidelity Investments.
Marketing & Business Development
Philip Gilmore works in New Business Development and Marketing at Gilmore Group. He received a BA in German and a BA in Communications form the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Before coming to Gilmore Group he worked in Event Setup and Coordination for Michigan Unions at U of M.
Philip is an expert communicator and offers a variety of proficiencies in design and production programs including FL Studio, and 3DS Max, and has experience with AutoCAD as well as manual drafting. Being able to speak the same language as the designers has enabled him more cohesive involvement within projects.
Alex Ortiz works as a Motion Designer for Gilmore Media. Originally from Boston, MA, Alex is a Rochester Institute of Technology Graduate, with a BFA in New Media Design and Imaging. Alex became fascinated with photography at a young age, but switched career paths while at RIT, where he became enamored with 3D and motion graphics work.
Proficient in using multiple programs in the Adobe Suite, Alex is a team oriented player with various skills in the design/media field. Alex is passionate about his work and constantly immerses himself in social media as well as the latest mobile technologies in order to improve his designs to be the most engaging, fun, and effective solutions yet.
His aspirations are to hone his skills in 3D and be able to design and animate for large-scale concerts; it is his dream to see his visual work paired with music on a big stage.
